- Reader supports a wide variety of operating systems, including Windows® and Mac OS, so extended teams can share documents across platforms. - The unique ID for this program's bundle is com.adobe.Acrobat.Pro. Adobe Acrobat Pro is compatible with Mac OS X 10.4.3 or later. Our antivirus scan shows that this Mac download is clean. The following versions: 11.0, 10.1 and 9.5 are the most frequently downloaded ones by the program users.
- In addition, 'Reader' was renamed back to 'Acrobat Reader'. Following the introduction of Document Cloud, Acrobat.com was discontinued as their features were integrated into the desktop and mobile apps. The UI had major changes with the introduction of Acrobat DC in 2015, which supports Windows 7 and later, and OS X 10.9 and later.

You need Mac OS X 10.9 or later to run Acrobat Reader DC. If you're running Mac OS X 10.8 or older, the Adobe Reader download page looks like this: You can install an older version of Acrobat Reader. For instructions, see Install an older version of Adobe Reader on Mac OS.
Installing Adobe Reader is a two-step process. First you download the installation package, and then you install Adobe Reader from that package file.
Before you install, make sure that your system meets the minimum system requirements.
Note:
If you're running Mac OS X 10.9 or later, install the latest version of Reader. For step-by-step instructions, see Install Adobe Acrobat Reader DC on Mac OS.
Select your operating system, a language, and the version of Reader that you want to install. Then click Download now.
When asked whether to open or save the .dmg file, select Save File, and then click OK.
Important: If you do not see this dialog box, another window could be blocking it. Try moving any other windows out of the way.
Double-click the .dmg file. If you don't see the Downloads window, choose Tools > Downloads.
If the download package doesn't appear in the Downloads window and a Thank You screen remains visible, click the download link on the Thank You screen.
Double-click the Adobe Reader [version] Installer.pkg to start the installation.
If a dialog box appears telling you to quit Reader, close Reader, and then click OK.
When the Install Adobe Reader dialog box appears, click Continue. Follow the onscreen instructions to install Reader.

Announcement for those of you using Mac OS X 10.6 (Snow Leopard) and 10.7 (Lion): Acrobat and Reader will be ending support for these operating systems after the next quarterly update, expected in May 2015. For the best and most secure experience of Adobe Acrobat and Adobe Reader, we recommend using the software on a supported operating system: OS X 10.8 (Mountain Lion), 10.9 (Mavericks), or 10.10 (Yosemite).
What does this mean for you?
You can continue to install and use Adobe Acrobat and Adobe Reader software on Mac OS X 10.6 or 10.7. However, Adobe will no longer test releases or patches for these operating systems, nor will any bugs specific to these operating systems be addressed. Furthermore, any future security updates or patches won’t be applicable to you. If you are entitled to support, Adobe will continue to support you, unless the problem you’re experiencing is isolated to Mac OS X 10.6 or 10.7.
