P0846 – Transmission fluid pressure (TFP) sensor / switch B -range/ performance problem The vehicle actually does not has power at all. I can also detect a fluid leakage from the gearbox. I wanted to know what can be done to repair. Now worst case scenario, I do not have Renault Fluence gearbox in my country. Nissan service manual on transmission has listed out some elaborate steps to identify the issue with low pressure. Make sure your mechanic follows those steps. I really hope that it is a simple fix for your problem. Let me know how it went with your car. Mine was 2011 Altima 3.5 SR. 2012 Nissan Altima 2.5 S 50,000 Miles No Extended Warranty. This was the second time this happened to me. I was driving 80 mph on the highway about 2 weeks ago when I heard a relatively whining sound which resulted in loss of power. When I was trying to accelerate and the car went into. P0846: Transmission Fluid Pressure Sensor/Switch “B” Circuit Range/Performance OBD-II Trouble Code A transmission fluid pressure sensor tells the ECU how much hydraulic pressure is available, so it can determine the proper shifting strategy based on things like engine load and vehicle speed. This Ram developed a transmission problem right after the customer installed a new engine. Was setting two transmission codes, P0846 and P0770.

P0846 fluid pressure sensor - replacement of transmission control valve body/ replace complete transmission. I got a check engine light which showed p0846 code in mid 2018. However the check engine light disappeared after a while. The light reappeared now in 2020 showing the same faulty code. I went to dealership to check it out and they said that this is a common issue in Nissans 2012 Versa and that I will need to replace the transmission. They told me that the warranty has also expired as the vehicle is above 84000 miles. ( I got this light at 79k miles with the same code and it had disappeared. ) I had photographed it with dates and time showing . Nissan told me that they will not help in any way and that I will need to cover the complete cost. Vehicle works pretty okay I don't feel any issues in it.

Hydrocarbons are leaking into the car cabin. I have taken my car to Nissan several times and had two regional tech specialists look at the vehicle. I even gave Nissan the name of the mechanics that found the leak as well as a copy of my medical record that said I had carbon dioxide poisoning. The last inspection I had with Nissan they refused to give me a copy of the invoice/workorder. Nissan said if I wanted a copy I would have to go through the legal department. Now the check engine light is on. I bought the car brand new. I has less than 20,000 miles and I took it to the dealer 10 times for the same engine leak that I making me sick.

Check Engine Light On problem of the 2009 Nissan Versa 7
While the vehicle was accelerating out from a stop sign, it suddenly without warning or noise lost all ability to accelerate and stalled in the intersection. No lights came on at that point. Restarted car, drove home. I could feel acceleration hesitation in the gas pedal. Next morning I started car, now has engine light on. I drove to work, it repeated the behavior once. The next day I took the car to get the computer code p2138. The car stalls everyday the first time it is driven and I can feel the hesitation everytime. Download office 2016 for mac full crack. After the inital stall, it drives fine the rest of the day. Check engine light remains on. I did unplug the accelerator pedal sensor to air blow off any dust. It continues to behave the same whether coming out of a stop position or driving on the road or highway and the check engine light remains. Will be taking it to Nissan dealer to have recalls checked and will ask about this issue as well. I went on this site and saw that other Nissans have had this issue over the years.

Check Engine Light On problem of the 2012 Nissan Versa 8
I bought my car brand new with 18 miles on it. At approximately 25k I was doing a fluid check on my vehicle because while driving the car stutter while accelerating. When I popped the hood open I noticed the my coolant reservoir tank was bone dry. I found some coolant in my garage and immediately added it to the reservoir to get it down to the dealership with no issue. The following day I brought it into the dealership and was trying to explain my situation. The service tech looked at the car and kept saying that the tank was full and there was nothing wrong with it even though I explained that I added some to get it there. They finally took my car back and had it for 2 days. When I came down to pick it up that said they couldn't find anything wrong with it. They said they pressure tested the cooling system and found no leeks and told me I was imaging thing as far as the stutter with my tranny. At approximately 32k again I was low (1/4 full) on coolant and the stutter stilled happened intermittingly. Again I took it down to the dealership. They had it for about 2 days and when I got it back they told me the same thing. At approx. 38k the stuttering had gotten worse and there would be times that id press the accelerator and nothing would happen for about 5-10 seconds. I took it back to the dealership for the tranny only this time. And they told me with out the check engine light coming on there was nothing they could do for my car even though it was under warranty. I have almost been in a coupe accidents because the tranny would not respond while pressing the accelerator.
Check Engine Light On problem of the 2012 Nissan Versa 9
Nissan Versa 2012. This is my second cvt transmission replacement. I received the first transmission replacement in December 2013 and it has broken again in may 2014. The vehicle got stuck in gear and would not shift. It accelerated and decelerated without my foot on the gas pedal. The vehicle made front end noises and pops like it was going to fall apart. It's very unsafe to drive. The airbag and check engine lights came on. I took my car to the dealer and got the run around. Don' t know what caused the problems and need more time to run test. The second transmission is under warranty and the dealer gave me every excuse to not fix my car. I was told, by the dealer, after seven days of waiting on repairs, that they (dealer) were waiting for a response from Nissan headquarters to run test. Fix my vehicle and run all the test you want but not at my sacrifice. The dealer said that they could not help me with a rental until Nissan gave the dealer an answer as far as what test to run and if to repair the vehicle, which is under warranty. The dealer just said, sorry but we can't do anything. It wasn't until nine days later that the dealer gave me a rental car, only, after my dad lit the fire. I was inconvenienced getting off work, very late hours, with no transportation. I informed the dealer about my late night dangerous experiences. It should not take, let's see, I'm on day twelve as of this complaint to fix a warranty problem. These cvt transmissions have been a long, ongoing problem with Nissan. This is a nightmare for all Nissan owners and Nissan should be held accountable for knowing about these issues and ignoring their issues. Nissan puts the blame on the car owners so that they can pay. This is wrong. Very disappointed in a reputable company. No longer reputable for me.
Check Engine Light On problem of the 2011 Nissan Versa 10
My husaand purchased the Nissan Versa 4hb 2011 brand new. A few months back while driving on the texas freeways 70 mph. . . The check engine light came on and the vehicle shut down and I lost power and speed, this was frightening and very dangerous. . . . We took the vehicle to the dealership and was told the throttle body need to be replaced: price, over $1000. 00. . . Our personal mechanic was able to do the job but unfortunately it was short lived and happened again. We went to another dealership and was told the same thing about replacing the throttle body, we explained it was replaced but needed the vehicle to be recoded. . . The guy said the part was defective, so we took it back to the mechanic, and had it replaced, but it happened again. . . So we went to the dealership again and was told they would recode the montior. . . Which was done. . . But here now it happened again, putting me in a dangerous situation on texas freeways. . . . Now sitting in my garage. I need help advice anything that would give us a clue as to why so much trouble with a vehicle barley 2 years old. . . . I do not want to die on texas freeways. . . .

Check Engine Light On problem of the 2009 Nissan Versa 11
I was turning onto a side street and heard a thump under my hood on the right side of the car. There was no difficulty driving although I kept hearing thumps for days after. I went in to a garage to get my snow tires put on and the garage saw that the spring above my right front tire was sheered in half and had damaged my tire. I had it towed to the nearest Nissan and they fixed it while I went and bought new tires. About 3 months later, it happened on the left side. Then about a year after that, the spring above the right front tire broke again, so I replaced it a third time to a cost of $1200 per spring. I contacted Nissan and was told no recall was in place for this. The mechanic at the garage told me this was a common problem for this car. In addition, at the same time, I noticed the engine losing power at different times, especially when stopped at a light or upon acceleration from a low speed to a high speed. No check engine light, no engine trouble noted, just loss of power. Shutting the car off and turning it back on seems to reset it but it's an ongoing issue.
Check Engine Light On problem of the 2009 Nissan Versa 12
I was pulling out of a wawa after fueling up when the check engine light came on the car stalled in the middle of the road. I had to push it to the side. The road is normally busy thank god this did not occur during the busy time. I got the car to the dealership I explained to them my issues they repaired it by resetting the engine module thing. I just took the car back in middle of March due to the car riding rough service light back on and the engine is making a lot of noise. The car had 30379 miles on it at this point. The dealership demanded oil change receipts told me I needed a new motor. They told me I had to pick the car up and it was safe to drive. I later found out the vehicle was not safe to drive after dropping it back off again. There was a lower engine knock due to the pistons. I finally got the car 04/05/2012. I went to drive on i95 and the car was being slugish and it was hesitant with switching gears. The car is still noisy and riding rough. The car is vibrating at traffic lights like its going to stale. I now how have to take it back another time. The dealership claims they did a road check and safety check but there was no sheet that they could show me. I am now again without a vehicle. I am fortunate I didnt have my child with me. This car is not safe at all.
Check Engine Light On problem of the 2008 Nissan Versa 13
We too had a problem with our 2008 Versa. We had an engine light come on and so we immediately took it in at 22,000 miles. They said we had no oil changes except one. We argued the point and got no where. They stated we had no oil. We said where did it go -- they didn't know! talked to the manager and got nowhere at buckeye Nissan. He promised to talk to corporate and we got nowhere again. That was clear back in March of 2010. So much for warranties. They wanted to put in a new engine at $4,500 on a 2 year old car. I'll never buy another Nissan nor work with a company that doesn't stand behind its product. We have had other cars in which they have always had their oil changes and retired these cars at 200,000+ miles. We presently have a 1999 Dodge ram and it has 283,000+ miles and still running. And. . . . They said 'we don't know how to maintain our vehicles. ' our second-hand Ford explorer SUV had 243,000 when we sold it. And our other Dodge which was retired to the junk yard had close to 220,000 miles. Our old vehicles usually had transmissions go out and that is the reason we went with the Versa because of the history on their transmission. When we had it in for the engine light, their story changed 3 times on what the problem was and finally ended up with the engine. No big deal -- only $4,500 on a vehicle less than 2 years old. Now I'm driving a vehicle that drives worse than any of our 15 year old cars ever did, oil needing changed constantly, dip stick coming out on occasion and spraying oil everywhere, and now stalling out!. When air-conditioner is run -- puts a film on window which fogs up. What next. So much for our first new car in years and driving our grandchildren around safely for school. I have never been so disappointed nor upset with a company as I have with this company and standing behind their warranties. And even more so with no response back. I don't think the manager even checked with corporate!.

Check Engine Light On problem of the 2009 Nissan Versa 14
I have a 2009 Versa that has approx 3800 miles. This happened out of no where: the car had been driving fine until I came to a stop at a light. The car began to hesitate like it was going to die. I pushed the gas and it was still hesitating as I drove. I finally, stop and turned off the car and began driving it again. It was okay until I came to a stop again and it started all over. It felt like it was going to die while I was driving and someone would come behind me and hit me. There was no engine light indicators showing any problems. I felt unsafe to drive and asked the dealer to tow the vehicle to be checked out. The dealer is working on it but said that it may be the crank sensor, that was the code when they put the computer to the car. The dealer drove the car and was unable to duplicate the issue.
